The composition of the graphic letter H represents the dynamic, symbiotic relationship between vertical beings – humans – and the horizontal plane, which is earth. In tandem, H is the symbol for Hydrogen in Chemistry.

H2 symbolizes a fundamental chemical element, hydrogen . In combining with other elements, hydrogen is a powerful agent of change. In combination with another essential element – oxygen – the result is water, required for all life.

As with hydrogen, there is unlimited potential to be unleashed through the principles and practice of sustainability.

Latin for habitat or household, combines with sustainable design of homes and other structures. H2 Ecodesign stresses the importance of our individual spaces in the broader landscape of planet Earth, our collective habitat.
